About the Role
As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll support our veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. You’ll work directly with pets, help keep our hospital running smoothly, and be an important part of educating pet owners about their furry family members.
Your day might include:
- Assisting veterinarians and RVTs during exams and surgeries
- Safely and compassionately handling and restraining cats and dogs
- Taking patient histories, vitals, and helping with lab tests
- Administering medications and treatments under guidance
- Keeping exam rooms, cages, and hospital spaces clean, organized, and safe
- Helping manage inventory and restock supplies
- Educating clients on pet care and post-treatment instructions
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable handling cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Basic knowledge of animal care and medical terminology
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to animal welfare
