Signs Your Pet Needs Urgent Care

Unsure if it’s an emergency? You can always call us for guidance. However, there are certain things you should be aware of. It’s an emergency if your pet:

  • Suffers any kind of blunt force trauma such as being hit by a car or falling a long way

  • Is lethargic and is refusing food or water
  • Is unconscious
  • Vomits blood or has blood in urine or feces

  • Experiences symptoms of a seizure or heatstroke

  • Ingests a toxic substance such as a household cleaner or pest poison

  • Shows signs of extreme pain such as shaking, refusal to socialize, and whining

  • Becomes disoriented and begins to bump into things

Please call ahead before coming in to ensure we have appropriate medical staff to effectively handle your pet's emergency. If we don't we will try and direct you to an emergency hospital equipped for 24 hour care.
