KIRSTIN PIRKL, Hospital Administrator

Kirstin has been with SMPMC as manager for over 15 years.   Her father is Dr. Walter Holtan, so she has worked here for her entire life.  Kirstin holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Marketing and an MBA. 

Kirstin lives with her husband, three children, two dogs, two bearded dragons, and a corn snake.  In her spare time, she is very active in the PTA at her children's schools, trains in an MMA studio, and makes home movies.

KAREN LONGBOTHAM, Office Manager &

International Travel Specialist

Karen is responsible for client management, billing, public relations, and administration.  She has also developed our international travel program.  Karen originally comes from Melbourne, Australia, and has worked at Santa Monica Pet Medical Center since her arrival here in the USA 25 years ago.

Karen now lives in Thousand Oaks with her three dogs and her husband.  Her most recent canine acquisition is a Mexican mastiff named Pocket.  Pocket has become Frankie's partner in crime in our reception area.

DANIEL MIANO, Head Technician

Danny has been with Santa Monica Pet Medical Center for 25 years, second only to Dr. Holtan.  He is in charge of all veterinary technical staff supervision and treatment procedures.

Danny shares his home with his wife and the youngest of their three children, and their dog.  His hobbies include ocean kayaking, going to concerts, and spending time with his family.  Danny is also renowned in the Santa Monica/Malibu area for his chili!

RONNIE DORSEY, Veterinary Assistant

Ronnie has been with Santa Monica Pet Medical Center for over 7 years.  She is a Registered Veterinary Technician who received her degree in 1997.  She started with us as a veterinary technician, but was quickly promoted to Veterinary Assistant.

Before Ronnie came to work for us, she worked as an animal trainer and behaviorist with exotic animals for 30 years.  She continues to work as a dog trainer and pet sitter when she is not at SMPMC.

ROBIN OLIVIERI, Head Receptionist/

Purchasing Agent

Robin has been with Santa Monica Pet Medical Center for 21 years.   In addition to her reception and purchasing duties,

Robin is in charge of all food orders.

Robin shares her life with her dog, Frankie (the Famous Frankie who doubles as a receptionist/greeter) and her cats.  She also enjoys music and travel.  

EVA GOOD, Receptionist

Eva has been with Santa Monica Pet Medical Center for over 15 years.  She was born in Hungary but moved to the U.S. over 30 years ago.  Eva has over 20 years of experience in the veterinary field.

In her spare time, Eva enjoys gardening, going to the farmers market, and bringing fresh fruits and vegetables into the clinic to share with us. 

MYRA HALL, Technician

Myra Hall has been with Santa Monica Pet Medical Center for 25 years.  She is a Registered Veterinary Technician.  She lives with her husband, two children, two dogs, and three cats.

In her spare time, she and her daughter ride and show horses.

SANDI FIFIELD, Technician Manager   

Sandi has been with Santa Monica Pet Medical Center for over 11 years.  She became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2010.  Sandi works to keep her furry owners in catnip wishes and mousie dreams.
